From Trailer to Treasure!

Earlier this year a trailer was donated to our Carnarvon campus for a student project, and with a group of keen year 12 students enrolled in Certificate II in Engineering from The Carnarvon Community College, lecturer Chris Ghinis soon had them thinking about designs for a portable BBQ.

The students created the train fashioned from Carnarvon's own Coffee Pot which runs along the One Mile Jetty. With items salvaged from many different places and some novel and cheap options for the finishing touches, the result is a fantastic eye catching train which couples as a BBQ for all occasions.

This fantastic new resource was utilised at the Children’s Week Family Fun Day on 26th October and with CGEA students assisting some 200 sausages were cooked up in no time!
