Women's Wellness Expo held in Carnarvon

Lecturers at Central Regional TAFE’s Carnarvon campus recently hosted a Women’s Wellness Expo to showcase healthy lifestyle choices.

The day, which was co-ordinated by Carnarvon lecturers Steph Kelly and Liz Ellis, included Pilates and Yoga classes, cooking demonstrations by My Healthy Kitchen and talks from the dietician, health promotions officer and public health unit representative from the local hospital.

Rosie McKenna from Shear Relief Yoga and massage offered seated massages throughout the day and Vanessa Jayne from Essentially Happi-Ness was on hand to discuss the benefits of Essential Oils.

Lecturer Steph Kelly said the day was a great success with very positive feedback from those who attended.

“The community have asked us to do it again but on a much bigger scale,” Ms Kelly said.

“Liz Ellis and I would like to say a big thank you to everyone who came along and made this day a huge success.”
