STUDENTS CAN COUNT ON SAVINGS FOLLOWING FEE CHANGES!!!

The Western Australian State government has announced measures to cap TAFE fee increases in 2017, as well as further reducing fees for concessional students.

Under the changes, TAFE course fee increases would be capped at CPI for all courses.

Concessional students will also benefit from a further discount on fees, as it increases from 50% to 70% in 2017.

To be eligible for the concession fee, the student must be either:

  1. Persons and dependants of persons holding:
    1. A Pensioner Concession Card.
    2. A Repatriation Health Benefits Card issued by the Department of Veterans’ Affairs.
    3. A Health Care Card.
  2. Persons and dependants of persons in receipt of AUSTUDY or ABSTUDY.
  3. Persons and dependants of persons in receipt of the Youth Allowance.
  4. Persons and dependants of persons who are inmates of a custodial institution.
