Our Scholarship Program - Recognising students’ endeavours and aspirations

Are you enrolled or planning to enrol in a course delivered by Central Regional TAFE this year? Did you know that you may be eligible to apply for a Scholarship to assist with payment of course fees and course related expenses? Find out more information about scholarship opportunities available to you below.

For further information, students may telephone 1800 672 700 and ask to speak to the staff member responsible for scholarships on your campus.

Bendigo Bank (Geraldton Branch) Scholarship valued at $500
Open to any full-time student enrolled in any course.

City of Greater Geraldton Scholarship valued at $500 - Semester Two Available Now
Open to any full-time student enrolled in either a Certificate II in Tourism or Certificate III in Tourism course.

Midwest Development Commission Scholarship valued at $500
Open to any full-time student enrolled in Certificate IV in Digital Media Technologies course.

Rio Tinto Scholarships (x6) valued at $750 each
Open to any full-time Aboriginal students enrolled in any course.

RSM Scholarship valued at $500
Open to any full-time student enrolled in any Finance and Accounting course.

Short Term Accommodation for Youth (STAY) Scholarship valued at $500
Open to any full-time student enrolled in the Diploma of Community Services (inc Youth Work and Counselling) course.

Collgar Wind Farm 2018 Scholarship Program 

Collgar Wind Farm is committed to supporting the Merredin community and surrounding shires. The Collgar Community Fund has been established to allow Collgar Wind Farm to provide direct financial support to a range of community-based initiatives. 

Collgar Wind Farm is offering scholarship opportunities in 2018 to students who wish to enrol in nationally accredited courses at Central Regional TAFE. Scholarships will be awarded to students who have a connection to the Shire of Merredin and surrounding communities and who meet the scholarship criteria. A panel will process the applications and determine the suitability of the applicant. Applicants will be informed in writing of the panel decision and application outcome.

western power scholarships - open now for semester Two 2018

Central Regional TAFE in partnership with Western Power will be offering scholarship opportunities (full course fees) to full-time students enrolled in the UEE22011 Certificate II in Electrotechnology (Career Start) during semester two, 2018.

The successful applicants will receive a monetary scholarship and the funds will be applied to course fees in the first instance; the remainder may be used for future training, resource fees or other costs at the recipient’s discretion.

Metso australia limited indigenous scholarship program - open now for semester two 2018

Central Regional TAFE and Metso Australia Limited will be offering scholarship opportunities to full-time students, enrolled in courses relating to Engineering and Mining at the Kalgoorlie or Geraldton campuses, during semester two, 2018.

The successful applicants will receive a monetary scholarship and the funds will be applied to course fees in the first instance; the remainder may be used for future training, resource fees or other costs at the recipient’s discretion.

Applicants are strongly encouraged to learn about Metso Australia Limited and the significant contribution they make to the region.   http://www.metso.com.

    AWE (Australian Worldwide Exploration) Scholarship Program - open now

    In 2017, AWE supported five Central Regional TAFE students who were engaged in full time courses in the areas of STEM:

    • Science
    • Technology
    • Engineering
    • Mathematics

    Central Regional TAFE and AWE will once again be offering scholarship opportunities in 2018 to full-time students, enrolled in courses under the above STEM areas.

    Preference will be given in the first instance to Aboriginal students based in the Irwin District (but not refined to this group).

    The successful applicants will receive a monetary scholarship and the funds will be applied to course fees, books, other course resources and where applicable, accommodation.
