LIVESTOCK MANAGEMENT AND CONTROL

An industry specific workshop for Local Government Officers and persons seeking Local Government position/s. 

This workshop will provide the participant with the skills and knowledge to identify cattle, sheep, horses, goats and others together with their behavioural characteristic, basic welfare requirements, handling and transportation.

You will obtain:

  • practical horse, cattle and sheep handling skills
  • pound operational skills
  • safe work practices
  • waste disposal and local regulations knowledge, and
  • design the perfect livestock pound.

We will also have a guest Veterinary lecturer advising on recognition of ill health, health care and treatment for livestock including emergency first aid.

This course will be delivered at the Midland Sports Complex, Patterson Drive Middle Swan. 

Upon completion of this course you will receive a Certificate of Participation.
