MUNICIPAL LAW ENFORCEMENT A

An Industry specific workshop for Local Government Officers and persons seeking Local Government employment.

This workshop covers the Unit of Competency PSPLEG001 Comply with legislation in the public sector and will provide the skills and knowledge required to interpret and apply relevant legislation.  Some of the Acts and Regulations that will be covered are:

  • The Local Government Act (LG Miscellaneous Provisions Act)
  • The Dog Act
  • The Cat Act
  • The Bush Fires Act
  • Interpretation Act
  • Litter Act - Caravan Parks and Camping Grounds Act, and
  • Control of Vehicles (Off Road Areas) Act

This is a nationally recognised unit of competence and upon successful completion you will receive a Statement of Attainment.
