The Provide First Aid (HLTAID003) training course will provide you with the knowledge and practical skills to provide first aid treatment for a wide range of emergencies until the arrival of professional medical help.
This Provide First Aid (HLTAID003) training meets the Level 2 Workplace First Aid standard as determined by WorkSafe (Western Australia).
Specifically you will learn:
• first aid and emergencies,
• legal, workplace and community factors,
• risk management,
• principles of First Aid,
• assess the scene and casualty,
• reassure the casualty,
• maintain hygiene,
• use manual handling techniques,
• bleeding,
• wounds and injuries,
• burns,
• environmental impact, and
• poisons.
This is a nationally recognised unit of competency and upon successful completion you will receive a Statement of Attainment.
