UEE20111 Certificate II in Split air-Conditioning & Heat Pump Systems

Are you an electrician looking to diversify your existing skills?

Central Regional TAFE can assist you by adding split air-conditioning and heat pump systems to your working repertoire.  Enabling you to service a wider range of clients.

Who should attend?

Electricians who currently hold a trade certificate and can demonstrate they meet the requirements of Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and have industry currency.

Course Content and Delivery
Face-to-face assessment of the following units:

  • UEENEEJ102A - Prepare and connect refigerant tubing and fittings.
  • UEENEEJ105A - Position, assemble and start up single head split air-conditioning and water heating heat pump systems.
  • UEENEEJ172A - Recover, pressure test, evacuate, charge and leak test refrigerants - split systems

All other units will be assessed by RPL or Credit Transfer if candidate holds equivalent of unit/s

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) Units of Competency

  • UEENEEE038E - Participate in development and follow a personal competency development plan.
  • UEENEEE101A - Apply occupational health and safety regulations, codes and practices in the workplace.
  • UEENEEE102A - Fabricate, assemble and dismantle utilities industry components.
  • UEENEEE105A - Fix and secure electro technology equipment.
  • UEENEEE107A - Use drawings, diagrams, schedules, standards, codes and specifications.
  • UEENEEE137A - Document and apply measures to control OHS risks associated with electro technology work.
  • UEENEEK142A - Apply environmentally and sustainable procedures in the energy sector.
  • CPCCOHS1001A - Work Safely in the construction industry
  • HLTAID001 - Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation

These are nationally recognised units of competency and upon successful completion you will receive a Statement of Attainment

  • Copy of their Trade Certificate and any other units of competency that can be used to verify their competency for Credit Transfer
  • Third Party documentation to verify they meet the requirements to undertake Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
  • Refrigerant Handling Licence - www.artick.org

Concession Rate: $1,663.28
