TAGGING AND TESTING

This is not a generic course and persons will only be trained on the make and model of the portable applicance tester that they will use for testing applicances in their organisation or workplace. - Please refer to Resources Requirements.

Participants will be required to demonstrate a basic understanding of portable appliance testing equipment and an understanding of the followng course learning outcomes:

  • The requirements to ensure that portable electrical equipment is safe to operate in accordance with Western Australian legislation and regulations.
  • Demonstrate the ability to inspect and test portable equipment to the standards as set out by AZ/NZS3760:2010
  • Demonstrate the ability to tag equipment and to complete documentation to record results of the inspection and testing procedure to the standards as set out by AS/NZS3760:2010

No previous electrical experience or licenses are required to undertake this course

This is a non-accredited course and on successful completion you will be issued with a Certificate of Competence in relation operation of your workplace single phase portable appliance tester to tag and test in your workplace.
