Welcome to the Student Portal.  Central Regional TAFE had a range online tools and services to assist you whilst you are studying with us. 

Student Portal

The Student Portal is an online system that allows you to view your personal information related to your enrolments and results.  Use this system to ensure your contact details are up to date.

Library

Central Regional TAFE has two physical Library facilities available for all enrolled students.  One is located at the Geraldton Campus (see map) and the other located at our Northam Campus. See the Library|Bookshop page for more information. 

Bookshop

The Central Regional TAFE Geraldton and Northam Campuses have bookshop facilities available for students. The bookshop stocks compulsory textbooks that you may be required to purchase as part of your course.  More details are available at the Library|Bookshop page. 

Geraldton Opening Hours are Monday – Friday 9.00am to 1pm during Term time. 
Northam Opening Hours are Monday – Friday 8.00am to 4.00pm during Term time.

Catapult
 Some of our on-line learning is delivered through Catapult, an on-line learning platform. Your lecturer will advise you if this is being used as part of your course.

How to Log In

  1. Select the link above and the Catapult login screen will display
  2. Enter your username, which is your student number
  3. Enter your password. This should be the same password as your current campus computer account
  4. For first time users the default password is your birth date  in the following format e.g. Dura01011999
  5. Please write your password down somewhere handy. TIP - save it in your phone 

Accessing Your Course

Read the Student Policy and tick if you agree. This will than lead you to the main page. You will see you have access to the unit or units you are enrolled in.

NOTE : If you are enrolled in the whole course on line you need to begin with the following unit BSBWHS402A – Apply knowledge of legislation in the workplace.

If you are enrolled in just one or two units, you can proceed as you prefer.  You will need to complete all the assessment activities including

  1. AT1 – formative assessment
  2. AT2 – summative knowledge assessment
  3. AT3 – projects/portfolio/documentation
  4. AT4 – Assessor demonstration/third party reports
  5. Any other assessment tasks that may be added as outlined by your trainer.

  • If you cannot login, first check with your lecturer to confirm you have been enrolled in your course.
  • If you are not enrolled your lecturer will add you.
  • If you are enrolled and cannot login you will need to have your password reset. Contact your lecturer to have it reset. 

  • If you are having trouble with your course materials please contact your Lecturer.

Every Central Regional TAFE (Geraldton Campus) student has a free Office 365 account which includes access to an Outlook email account, a OneDrive folder for file storage and access to the Office 365 suite of applications which are available from any computer or mobile device.

  1. Select the link above and the O365 login screen will display.
  2. Enter your student email address in the following format: yourstudentID@live.durack.edu.au       e.g. 051231231@live.durack.edu.au
  3. Enter your password, this is the same password you use to login to the computer network and Student Portal.
  4. For first time users the default password is your birth date in the following format DuraDDMMYYYY eg. Dura01011980.
  5. To view your email, select Outlook from the menu at the top right hand corner of the screen.
  6. To view your personal online storage, select OneDrive from the same menu.

Students enrolled with Central Regional TAFE (Geraldton Campus) have access to Microsoft's DreamSpark subscription service, providing free access to a range of Microsoft products including Windows, Office, Server and Development software packages.

  2. Select the login link in the top right-hand corner.
  3. Enter your studentID number.
  4. Enter your password, this is the same password you use to login to the computer network.

Student email - kalgoorlie 

Each student is allocated a Central Regional TAFE Kalgoorlie Campus is provided with an email account in the form of yourstudentid@student.goldfields.wa.edu.au with a 25GB quota.

You can access your email via this web link

LOGIN STUDENT EMAIL

Your User ID is YourStudentID@student.goldfields.wa.edu.au  E.G  440000000@student.goldfields.wa.edu.au

Enter your password, by default your password is Gold followed by your date of birth in the form of 'ddmmyyyy'. For example, if your date of birth is the 5th of August, 1988 then your password is Gold05081988.

student wifi - kalgoorlie 

Free Wi-Fi is accessible to Central Regional TAFE Kalgoorlie Campus students.

Students can make use of the College provided Laptops/Tablets or personal devices to connect to our Wi-Fi.

There are two wireless networks operating at the Kalgoorlie Campus: one is available to staff and the other for students. When you configure your network connection you must enter the appropriate name (or SSID) for the account you intend to use. To log in to the Kalgoorlie Campus Wireless Network, you must use your appropriate credentials in accordance with the Colleges ICT Use Policy.
