Take your visual arts career to the next level.
Visual artists work within and across many mediums, and their practice may incorporate ceramics, digital art, glasswork, drawing and illustration, jewellery making, painting, photo media, printmaking, public art, sculpture, textiles or wood design.
This qualification enhance your skills and knowledge of visual arts to a para-professional level. You'll develop technical, creative and conceptual skills to originate, realise and exhibit a substantial body of resolved work that expresses their own creative vision.
Employment outcomes as a paid artist and professional visual arts professional are endless. You may obtain work as a consultant or commissioned artist for private and public sector organisations.

The applicant must sit an interview and present a portfolio of evidence that demonstrates the same skills as the entry requirements for the course. Questions will be asked in relation to the applicants intention for the course to ensure the content of the course are appropriate.

To enter this qualification, individuals must have the conceptual, technical and organisational skills to create and present work in their chosen creative form. Those skills and knowledge may have been acquired through experience in a creative field or through formal study.

Delivery location, important dates and study options
Training at CRTAFE will be offered with a blended, flexible delivery model to enable social distancing measures during the COVID-19 pandemic. This approach may include a combination of online and classroom based delivery, as well as practical and work experience placements. While the mode of delivery may vary, the content and key learning outcomes of the course will remain the same. Lecturers will provide specific instructions to their student groups on how training will be undertaken and the support available to them.
