Learn how to operate a kiln

This skill set will broaden the scope of your present practice and create new opportunities, whether you're a ceramicist or potter wishing to experiment and explore this art form or an art teacher or technician seeking to finish some professional development in a ceramic’s studio setting.

  • Hand building course understanding clay and its properties, slab, coil and finishing techniques.
  • Students will be required to fire a kiln, load, and stack products, monitor, and adjust kiln operation.
  • Operating ancillary equipment safely and principles of operation
