Are you looking for a Carpentry or Building and Construction career?

When you complete the Certificate II in Building and Construction you'll be what employers are looking for as an apprentice in the Carpentry and Building and Construction trades.  You will gain the knowledge and practical skills to work effectively in the construction industry, use hand and power tools, erect and dismantle restricted height scaffolding, levelling and concreting, interpret drawings, take measurements and workplace health and safety.

Entrance Requirements
School Leaver Non-School Leaver AQF
OLNA or NAPLAN 9 Band 8 C Grades in Year 10 English and Maths or equivalent Certificate I or Certificate II
Work placement

Work Practice

Relevant construction industry work practice undertaken concurrently with delivery of this course is mandatory to achieve the qualification and consolidate student learning and skills development.  The work practice duration of the Pre Apprenticeship is a minimum of 125 hours, of which at least 63 hours must be on the job work placements with an employer.
