This entry level course will qualify you to work across a number of strong-growth industries such as tourism, business and events.
You will gain the knowledge to undertake routine tasks in using business technology, providing advice on Australian tourism destinations, providing visitor information, and understanding cultural sensitivity. Our highly-experienced team of industry professionals are the best in the business and will give you the tools you need to get ahead.
Upon successful completion you will qualified to become a receptionist in a travel agency, a museum attendant, or office assistant for a tour operator.

The course is delivered in two stages over 12 months. Each stage comprises of a grouping of units which sequentially builds skills and knowledge for the qualification.
Stage 1 comprises of units relating to understanding the tourism and travel industry including the history of local, regional destination, heritage and cultural awareness. Then relating this within a customer service framework. A separate 2-day first aid course is scheduled for term 1.
Stage 2 comprises of researching customer destination and touring needs by brochure, pamphlets and online resources. Presenting information to a customer by way of case study and tour commentary. Health and safety requirements of self, customer taught in term one will be assessed in live situations in term 2.

Once you enrol into your chosen units, you will have six (6) months from the date of your enrolment to complete your study.
