This qualification provides a general vocational outcome in the conservation and land management industry. It enables individuals to select an indigenous land management, lands, parks and wildlife or natural area management context as a job focus or a mix of these. Working in the Conservation and Land Management industry is for people who would love to work in an outdoor environment and recognise the value in resotration of natural bushland and coastal areas. This qualification is designed to give you the skills and knowledge needed within the conservation industry and will provide you with the practical skills and knowledge to assist in a range of tasks to maintain and resotre natural and cultural places and farmland. Subjects include flora and fauna identification, animal trapping/fauna handling, site preparation and weed management, vertebrate pest management, and resoring and maintaining natural areas.

The fees identified above for this course are (predominantly) based on full-time face-to-face delivery (or Apprenticeship/Traineeship delivery) for this course. At Central Regional TAFE, three types of fees may be charged:
- Course fees - set by the State Government and are calculated on the category of enrolment. Students studying a certificate course may be eligible for a concession. Concession students pay 30% of the course fees (not incidental, resource or other fees).
- Resource fees - covers materials purchased by the TAFE which will be consumed or transformed by students in the course of instruction, such as workshop materials & workbooks.
- Other fees - charged for goods and services that are provided by the TAFE such as security, name badges and IT infrastructure.
In addition to these fees, students may need to purchase textbooks, uniforms and other course specific equipment.
