Starting a business? Want to learn how to establish your business better?

This qualification reflects the role of individuals establishing or carrying on business as a sole trader or contractor, as well as those supporting the establishment of a new venture as part of a larger organisation. These individuals apply a broad range of competencies in varied contexts, using some discretion and judgement and relevant theoretical knowledge. They may provide technical advice and support to a small team.

OLNA or NAPLAN 9 Band 8 C Grades in Year 10 English and Maths or equivalent Certificate I or Certificate II

Entrance Requirements

Must be a school student in Year 11 or 12, participating in the VETDSS pathway.

Candidates will be required to participate in a pre-enrolment interview with Business TAFE Lecturer and language, literacy, and numeracy assessment to ensure they possess sufficient LLN skill.

  • How the workplace equipment and facilities meet all the requirements of the Training Product.
  • How the equipment and facilities are checked.
