This mechanical engineering qualification was specifically developed for existing tradespersons in the engineering field, or for engineering trade apprentices wishing to study at a higher level. If you are serious about your future, this is the course for you!
It covers the skills and knowledge required for employment as a Higher Engineering Tradesperson or a Special Class Engineering Tradesperson (Mechanical) — Level II; Special Class Engineering Tradesperson (Fabrication) — Level II; or Special Class Engineering Tradesperson (Electrical/Electronic) — Level II within the metal, engineering, manufacturing and associated industries or at equivalent levels in other industries where engineering tradespersons work.
This course will be FREE from 1 January 2023. The course fees are 100 per cent subsidised by the WA State Government.

RTO Entrance Requirements
Applicants must already be a qualified electrician or in the final year of their electrical apprenticeship. Where the student is in the final year of their apprenticeship the qualification will not be issued until completion of the apprenticeship.
Licensing, Legislation and Regulation Requirements
Must have current WA Electrical Licence.
Upon successful completion you will receive a Certificate IV in Engineering (Instrumentation).

Kalgoorlie - Self Paced Onsite and Advanced Standing (RPL)
Many of our courses offer flexible learning options that provide you with the opportunity to study WHENEVER and WHEREVER suits you. Typically, flexible, and self-paced options are part-time and open for enrolment all year round, allowing you to start, enrol and study continuously.
Once you enrol into your chosen units, you will have six (6) months from the date of your enrolment to complete your study.
