Learn how to safely operate a hand-held chainsaw.

This unit will teach you how to operate a chainsaw cautiously and efficiently. Acquire skills and techniques to safely cross-cut fallen timber and how to maintain the equipment in working conditions.

You will need to bring:

  • Gloves
  • Bring safety glasses/goggles
  • Wear protective trousers and jacket (or clothing that will cover unprotected skin)
  • Wear steal-cap boots 

Certification

Upon successful completion you will receive a Statement of Attainment.
