Master your skills to create beautiful glass objects for your home

This course will introduce you to the exciting range of techniques and skills used in the kiln-forming of glass. You will learn the basics of fusing and slumping glass and therefore is suitable for people with no or little experience. It is also suitable if you already have some experience but wanting to build on your existing skills or just want to get back into getting creative. 

A new technique and application is covered each term so there will be something for everyone. 

 

Course Content 

The below nationally recognised units of competency are included in this course:

CUAGLA201          Develop glassworking skills

CUAGLA301          Produce glasswork

CUASCU301          Produce sculpture 

 

Certification

Upon successful completion you will receive a Statement of Attainment

GovHack

Join the largest open data hackathon in the southern hemisphere.

GovHack is an international event which attracts thousands of participants each year who come together in simultaneous events taking place in major and regional cities across the country.

The event requires competitors to work in small teams during the 46 hour event to produce a ‘hack’ using Australian government data. Teams are judged on the production of a three minute video explaining their idea and its future potential.

It is FREE to register and there are no costs associated with participating in the event. Find out more about GovHack here.

As part of their participation in this event, students will complete the below nationally recognised unit of competency:

BSBWOR202          Organise and complete daily work activities
