Keep yourself and clients safe.

Health and community care workers have gone above and beyond to support and care for those that are most vulnerable in our community, and with this skill set they can continue to confidently provide the best care for clients and keep both them and themselves safe from the risks of infections.

You will learn about following organisational infection prevention and control procedures including implementing standard and transmission-based precautions and responding to infection risks.

As part of this course students will complete:

  • Course pre-reading requirements
  • 1 day workshop on campus
  • Workplace assessment - The lecturer will visit the student at their workplace at an agreed date/time.

If you're aged 15—24 years (not at school), receiving the JobSeeker or JobKeeper payment, receiving Youth Allowance, AUSTUDY or ABSTUDY or holding a pensioner concession card, Health Care Card or a Repatriation Health Benefits Card issued by the Department of Veterans' Affairs, or a dependent of persons who are inmates of a custodial institution, you are eligible to enrol for free!
