Safely operate a non-slewing mobile crane
Learn how to safely operate a non-slewing mobile crane with a capacity exceeding 3 tonnes. Non-slewing crane refers to cranes that incorporate a boom or jib that cannot be slewed and includes a locomotive and articulated mobile crane. Topics covered include:
- Conduct routine checks
- Set-up
- Transfer load
- Shut down and secure crane
Course Content
The below nationally recognised unit of competency is included in this course:
TLILIC0008 Licence to operate a non-slewing mobile crane (greater than 3 tonnes capacity)

Delivery location, important dates and study options
Training at CRTAFE will be offered with a blended, flexible delivery model to enable social distancing measures during the COVID-19 pandemic. This approach may include a combination of online and classroom based delivery, as well as practical and work experience placements.
