Pet First Aid Skills Set

Learn basic first aid for animals and pets. 

This course is suitable for those interested working in animal care and pet owners, in particularly  for dog and cat owners .  

Topics covered include:

  • Safe animal handling
  • Basic anatomy of animals
  • How to perform a physical exam 
  • Life threatening medical conditions 
  • Basic first aid including bandaging and CPR 
  • The animal emergency network 

This course includes a half day practical workshop and online learning. 

Course Details

Students will have 10 weeks to complete the online component of this course.

This course also includes a one day practical workshop from 9am to 3pm at Northam Campus. 

Course Requirements 

Students will need Internet access.

Certification

Upon successful completion students will receive a Statement of Attainment.
