Learn basic reflexology techniques.
Reflexology is a type of massage therapy that works on the theory that each area of the body is reflected in the feet, and by applying pressure to the feet, the corresponding areas of the body can benefit. In this course you will learn how to apply basic reflexology techniques to holistically treat the feet in a non-invasive way to promote relaxation and stress reduction.
This course is suitable for beginners who are interested in traditional Eastern massage practices and want to learn how to give a relaxing foot massage, as well as for those already working in the health or wellness industry including beauty therapists, massage therapists and allied health professionals, wanting to complement other treatments.
You will learn:
- How to gather necessary client information
- Prepare equipment for reflexology (relaxation only)
- Make observations of the feet
- Select and use basic reflexology techniques based on information and observations
Please note: this course does not include reflexology for therapeutic purposes (relaxation only) and you will not be a certified reflexologist.
Course Requirements
Students will need to bring their own towels.
Certification
Upon successful completion you will receive a Statement of Attainment.
