Learn to dramatically increase your efficiency using Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) in Excel.

You will learn to create command procedures, write simple code and use a range of common programming techniques to manipulate, analyze, and present data more easily and efficiently.

Topics covered include: 

  • use the macro recorder to create a variety of macros
  • understand the Excel object model and VBA concepts
  • work with the three main components of the VBA editor window
  • create command procedures
  • create and work with user defined functions
  • write code to manipulate Excel objects and to drive a user form
  • use a range of common programming techniques
  • create a custom form complete with controls and event procedures
  • create procedures that start automatically
  • write a variety of error handling routines

Certification

Upon successful completion students will be issued with a Certificate of Participation.
