Learn how to handle wildlife safely.
In this short course you'll gain the skills and knowledge to identify requirements for caring for sick, injured or orphaned wildlife. You'll learn how to safely capture and handle native wildlife whilst still maintaining personal safety and hygiene standards.
As part of your training you learn how to assess the condition of captured wildlife, how to use secure and humane methods to transport them. The course also covers important topics such as complying with legal requirements of capturing and handling wildlife and safety practices.
Travel is required for site visits. Please contact the lecturer prior to the course if you have any concerns.
Certification
Upon successful completion students will be issued with a Certificate of Participation.
