Central Regional TAFE offers a range of services for new Migrants to Australia including the Australian Migrant English Program.
The Adult Migrant English Program (AMEP) delivers tuition in the English Language to help eligible adult migrants and refugees settle successfully in Australia.
The program is available to eligible migrants, from the humanitarian, family and skilled visa groups. The number of hours of free English courses offered depends on individual circumstances.
To view further information go to the Department of Education and Training AMEP webpage.
AMEP becomes more than just a learning program as participants are able to network and learn more than just English, students also learn about Australian society, culture and customs. AMEP participants are able to meet other students with similar situations and goals as themselves.
There is no charge for eligible migrants and refugees to study through the program.
There are two study options:
• Full time (20 hours per week in the morning or afternoon)
• Part time (less than 20 hours per week)
For further information on the AMEP program at Central Regional TAFE contact us on 1800 672 700 or via email at info@crtafe.wa.edu.au
The Adult Migrant English Program (AMEP) is funded by the Australian Government Department of Education and Training.
