It’s good news all-round at Central Regional TAFE’s (CRTAFE) Northam Campus with three Diploma of Enrolled Nursing graduates successfully obtaining post graduate positions at three prestigious Perth hospitals.

Amongst hundreds of applicants applying for these highly regarded tertiary programs, Jessica Douglas and Niamh Wooster have both been offered positions at St John of God in Midland and Subiaco, and Sarah Bennett has been accepted into the Fiona Stanley Peri-Operative program.

Central Regional TAFE (CRTAFE) recently hosted events at their Kalgoorlie, Geraldton and Northam campuses to celebrate International Day of People with Disability (IDPwD).

IDPwD is a United Nations sanctioned day that is celebrated internationally. It aims to increase public awareness, understanding and acceptance of people with disability and celebrate their achievements and contributions.

The development of a state-of-the-art Health Care Training Centre at Central Regional TAFE’s (CRTAFE) Kalgoorlie Campus will commence this year.

The Centre will be developed inside CRTAFE’s current main administration building on Cheetham Street, transforming it into a new simulated workplace training environment for students.

Central Regional TAFE’s Geraldton Campus had a record attendance at this year’s Vocational Education and Training Delivered to Secondary Students (VETDSS) awards evening on Thursday.

The VETDSS Awards recognise excellence in students undertaking Vocational Education and Training programs in schools. They also acknowledge the partnerships between CRTAFE, schools and local businesses who continue to support students in hosting valuable work placement opportunities.

Central Regional TAFE (CRTAFE) has appointed a new Director of Training for the Kalgoorlie Campus.

Chelsie Grace, a born and bred ‘Kalgoorlie-an’ and long term resident will officially commence in the role next week.

A wife and professional working mother to two teenage boys, she commenced her career as a trained Occupational Therapist.
