An art exhibition showcasing the work of Central Regional TAFE Visual Art students was a resounding successful with a large number of pieces snapped up by discerning art buyers.

Central Regional TAFE hosted the exhibition titled An Eclectic Collective at its Geraldton campus to celebrate the work of graduating Diploma and Advanced Diploma of Visual Arts students from the Midwest.

Central Regional TAFE Carnarvon have joined forces with the Carnarvon Roadwise Committee in a bid to raise awareness about the dangers of driving in and around the region.

Local high school students, who have been completing a Certificate II in Rural Operations at CRTAFE Carnarvon's campus, were asked to build a life-sized cow statue made from recycled materials in order to raise awareness about the threat of livestock on our highways.

Northern Star Mining Services (NSMS) have brought the Christmas festivities early to Central Regional TAFE (CRTAFE) by donating a new underground drill rig which has been custom built for training at the Kalgoorlie Campus.

The purpose built training drill rig is decked out with an RCS control system and is estimated to be worth over $200,000 with only one other similar piece of training equipment existing in Australia.

Central Regional TAFE have been announced as winners at the Australian Training Awards in Sydney.

The Australian Training Awards are the peak, national awards for the vocational education and training (VET) sector, recognising individuals, businesses and registered training organisations for their contribution to skilling Australia.

Central Regional TAFE won the WA Industry Collaboration Award 2018 at the WA Training Awards in September for its Integrating Training and Biodiversity Conservation project run through the Batavia Coast Maritime Institute (BCMI).

Central Regional TAFE (CRTAFE) hosted a commercial cookery workshop at the Goldfields Rehabilitation Services Centre (GRSC) on Friday 2 November as part of a plan to assist clients when leaving the centre.

Andrew May – CRTAFE Hospitality Lecturer together with first year Commercial Cookery Apprentice Sharli Landers demonstrated to GRSC clients the importance of having staples in your kitchen and the variety of meals which can be prepared using the same ingredients.

Central Regional TAFE Midwest and Gascoyne have celebrated their top Vocational Education and Training Delivered to Secondary Students (VETDSS) at a recent award ceremony.

Central Regional TAFE’s VETDSS pathways are the perfect introduction into the world of work. Year 11 and 12 students learn practical skills whilst gaining an insight into the needs of the workplace. Success in the program can lead to employment or give students a head start in other nationally recognised qualifications or create pathways into higher education and university studies.
