Big turnout expected for TAFE Enrolment Days

Central Regional TAFE (CRTAFE) is expecting a growth in attendance at their annual Enrolment Days this year.

Starting next week at the Geraldton campus, the annual Enrolment Days give prospective students an opportunity to meet with a variety of lecturers and TAFE staff, see what’s available and have all of their questions answered.

On the day, attendees can tour campus facilities, check out the student services offered and get a feel of what they can expect when studying at TAFE.

CRTAFE Managing Director Bill Swetman said this year is a particularly exciting time for Vocational Education and Training Providers because of the new State Government Lower Fees Local Skills initiative – which offers students 50% off TAFE fees for priority qualifications over the next two years.

“We are offering 50% off fees for over 26 priority qualifications. These are in areas where the jobs are today and into the future” Mr Swetman said.

“Our graduates are highly successful in obtaining jobs following their studies, that’s why we say that TAFE achieves real results. They can start their careers straight away and with little to no student debt, and the new half price initiative is an even bigger incentive to get qualified, upskill and start making the future you want”.

“Each year we look forward to showing the community what their local TAFE has to offer and assist them in finding all of the information they need in one place”.

“There is something to suit everyone at TAFE and I encourage anyone thinking about training to come and explore their options”.

Those attending can also take advantage of visiting the Jobs and Skills Centres on campus which provide free services for the community including career advice and guidance, resume preparation, assistance with selection criteria, connections with local job opportunities and more.

Potential students can choose from a Certificate I to Advanced Diploma, apprenticeships, traineeships and short courses. CRTAFE also offers payment plans, University Pathways and has several student support services available.
