Certificate I in Leadership Students celebrate their success

A group of students came together in Geraldton recently to celebrate their achievements after successfully completing a Certificate I in Leadership.

The students, from Morawa and surrounding areas, were brought together by the MEEDAC Morawa office and a local organisation called Dreams Awakening. Two Central Regional TAFE  lecturers Rebecca Higgins and Volker Stanger travelled from the Geraldton campus to Morawa regularly to deliver the training.

Central Regional TAFE Business and Management Lecturer Rebecca Higgins said it was rewarding to see the student’s confidence and skills grow throughout the year.

“The students participated in several projects including the Carnamah community garden, land regeneration and works at Gimlet Ridge Farm,” Ms Higgins explained.

“The outcomes have been amazing, we had two participants leave after securing full time work and another four students are relocating to Geraldton next year to pursue full time study in different areas.”

If you are interested in studying at Central Regional TAFE in 2019 applications for semester one are now open.
