TAFE opens a world of possibilities

TAFE training can lead you to many new opportunities and Central Regional TAFE student Esther McClure’s experiences since graduating have taken her across the world.

Esther commenced her training by enrolling in a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care and a Certificate III in General Adult Education at our Northam Campus. She then went on to complete her Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care which gave her nine months of credit towards her university degree.

She currently attends the Australian Catholic University in Canberra completing her fourth year of a Bachelor of Early Education and Primary Teaching. Due to the nine month credit and her selection of Chinese electives as part of her degree, Esther was able to study part time for a year in Chengdu China.

“I loved studying abroad for the second year of my degree,” Miss McClure said.

“I wouldn't have been able to have this incredible time overseas if I had not done a Diploma in Children’s Services at TAFE,” she said.

“The work experience and employment I gained through studying at TAFE also allowed me to support myself whilst living in Canberra and then later in China,” she said.
