MEM50009B Safely operate a mechanically powered recreational boat and
MEM50010B Respond to boating emergencies and incidents

Learn the skills and knowledge to become a safe recreational boat skipper to enable you to apply for your Recreational Skippers Ticket (RST).

We have access to numerous lakes in the Wheatbelt including Collie, Narrogin, Northam, Moora and Hyden/Lake Grace. We can also conduct Recreational Skippers Ticket Training at Jurien Bay, Guildford, Fremantle and Cockburn Sound.

Upon successful completion of this course, participants will be eligible to receive an ID card from the Department of Transport.

Participants must be at least 14 years of age, and Photo Identification is required. Participants without a valid drivers licence are required to provide an RST Eyesight declaration from a medical practitioner, qualified nurse or optometrist. For information on documentation required by your assessor please download the RST workbook from the Department of Transport website http://www.transport.wa.gov.au/imarine/rst-workbook.asp

This is a nationally recognised unit of competency and upon successful completion you will receive a Statement of Attainment.
