This program offers the best of Certificate II in Construction along with Certificate I in Industrial Skills.

The selection of units in this combined program will give the client an extensive range of recognised skills, such as carpentry, working at heights and in confined spaces, scaffolding, leveling, use of tools and equipment, skid steer, forklift, excavator and White Card.

Please note that enrolments for Semester 2 are not available at our Geraldton Campus for this qualification.

Enrolments are available for Semester 2 at our Carnarvon Campus.

Licensing Outcomes

Completion of the general induction training program specified by the National Code of Practice for Induction Training for Construction Work (ASCC 2007) is required before entering a construction work site. Achievement of unit CPCCOHS1001A covers this requirement.

These courses will provide you with the practical skills and knowledge to assemble, install, test or service voice and data communications equipment and cabling. This covers electronic systems and equipment in general electronics, communications, computer or consumer electronics, microcontrollers, security, and computer/network hardware.

Solid plasterers work in the building and construction concreting industry. Learn to finish walls, floors and ceilings in gypsum and Portland cement plasters, and construct various mouldings, textured finishes and ornamental restoration work.

Builders are the key to coordinating the construction or renovation of houses and commercial buildings.Builders are involved in every aspect of the project from interpreting the plans, to quotation, through to organising various trade sub-contractors to complete the build. As a drafter, you will learn how to convert an idea into clear, dimensioned drawings, preparing the builder with the necessary information for construction.

This group of tradespersons comprises a number of specialised areas, including plumbers, gasfitters, roof plumbers, drainers, fire protection workers and irrigation installers. Learn how to use plumbing hand and power tools, handle and store plumbing materials and operate elevated work platforms. You will cover such topics such as drainage, gas fitting, roof plumbing, water stream and sanitary. Gasfitters work with gas lines and gas related appliances, including hot water systems and space heating systems.
