Learners may be required to provide additional resources for this course. Details are provided in the Pre-Enrolment Information Pack.

The course is delivered in two stages over 12 months.  Each stage comprises of a grouping of units which sequentially builds skills and knowledge for the qualification.

Stage 1 comprises of units relating to understanding the tourism and travel industry including the history of local, regional destination, heritage and cultural awareness. Then relating this within a customer service framework. A separate 2-day first aid course is scheduled for term 1.

Stage 2 comprises of researching customer destination and touring needs by brochure, pamphlets and online resources. Presenting information to a customer by way of case study and tour commentary. Health and safety requirements of self, customer taught in term one will be assessed in live situations in term 2.

Petits fours are bite sized treats that are perfect for high tea, tastings, buffets, dessert platters, catering and cake shops.
