Are you a woman looking to return to study or the workforce? Do you want to improve your general skills and knowledge? This course serves as a bridging program for women who have typically had a break from the workforce and are looking to embark on a new career direction. The course offers women an opportunity to explore various career options, build self-confidence and gain academic standards necessary to enter vocational offerings.
You will develop your skills in; managing personal and family health and safety, developing strategies to succeed in learning, increasing personal effectiveness, establishing personal goals, exploring career options, developing a career action plan, examining further education and training opportunities, improving written, oral and interpersonal communication skills, performing simple maths for everyday situations and develop basic computer skills.

The fees identified above for this course are (predominantly) based on full-time face-to-face delivery (or Apprenticeship/Traineeship delivery) for this course. Fees may vary depending on your choice of units and some delivery modes. You can also find details of all course costs on our Fees page here.
At Central Regional TAFE, three types of fees may be charged:
- Course fees - set by the State Government and are calculated on the category of enrolment. Students studying a certificate course may be eligible for a concession. Concession students pay 30% of the course fees (not incidental, resource or other fees).
- Resource fees - covers materials purchased by the TAFE which will be consumed or transformed by students in the course of instruction, such as workshop materials & workbooks.
- Other fees - charged for goods and services that are provided by the TAFE such as security, name badges and IT infrastructure.
In addition to these fees, students may need to purchase textbooks, uniforms and other course specific equipment.
