The City of Greater Geraldton is a coastal city in the Mid West region of the Australian state of Western Australia, 424 kilometres (263 mi) north of the state capital, Perth.

The City of Greater Geraldton incorporates the town of Mullewa, Walkaway and large rural areas previously forming the shires of Greenough and Mullewa. With the best of both worlds, the City of Greater Geraldton is a major west coast seaport and central hub to rural outlying areas.

The City of Greater Geraldton is an important service and logistics centre for regional mining, fishing, wheat, sheep and tourism industries. We have three campuses situated in Geraldton, including the main hub of Central Regional TAFE at Fitzgerald Street, the Batavia Coast Maritime Institute (BCMI) and Technology Park.

The Fitzgerald Street campus offers training in industry simulated learning environments  in the areas of health, education, community services, construction, building, rural industries, mining, metals, art, automotive, hospitality, business, management, information technology and more. While the BCMI is renowned globally for its marine research and breeding facility and the newest campus to the Geraldton area, Technology Park hosts a variety of courses with industrial and heavy duty capabilities for servicing and training.

Facilities

This new complex opened in mid-2015 and caters for social, cultural and educational activities throughout the year for Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal people. The centre is aimed at increasing participation, training outcomes and promoting learning pathways for Aboriginal students with a variety of learning activity rooms and courtyards. A large deck area opens onto a terraced garden to be used for performances or events.

Situated in the Health, Education and Communities training area (H Block), the Childrens Services training area offer a crèche to staff and students. Children can play in a new, safe and stimulating environment while being supervised.

Early Childhood Education and Care Staff and students provide supervision and manage the crèche. This service is available to all staff and students at the Fitzgerald St Campus and is a great opportunity for our students to gain on the job training as well as a fantastic service for parents of children in the early childhood range.

The Me-N-U Café is located at G Block and open during the CR TAFE term.

Providing food and drinks for staff, students and residents of Central Regional TAFE Geraldton campus, the Café is the social hub of the campus. 

Food and beverages made daily fresh and ready to go with the option of made to order off the menu. The café has hot and cold options including salads, desserts and snacks. Tea and coffee facilities are available and Barista-style coffee made to order. Enjoy your meal indoors or out on the deck with a number of seating options available including bean bags for that picnic feel.

An ATM is also located inside the café and multiple charging locations as power points and USB ports to charge your devices while you relax.

Ample free parking is available on campus with designated accessibility parking bays available. Extra parking is also available opposite TAFE on Fitzgerald Street. See Campus Map for more details.

Pepperell Village is our purpose-built on-campus accommodation for students studying at Central Regional TAFE.

Our responsibility extends beyond just providing beds for students. We support the transition to independence with a dedicated Student Support team. Residents live amongst fellow students with different backgrounds and interests, which can be an exciting and important part of the education experience. Offering the best of both worlds, Pepperell Village can offer an independent lifestyle for students complemented by a secure and supportive environment.

All units are furnished and self-contained with a residential supervisor available 24/7 to assist and support students using the facility.  Individual bedrooms provide ample workspace and village facilities have been designed specifically for the student lifestyle.

The village also has communal recreational areas which can be used by the residents. This includes a common room with pool table, basketball court, computing facilities and a bbq area. During term, students have the option of arranging weekday lunch and evening meals from the Me-N-U Café.

The Zeewijk Training Restaurant provides a functioning environment for learning and application of skills for CR TAFE hospitality and commercial cookery students. During the course of their studies students are required to participate in every aspect of managing the restaurant from taking bookings to menu planning and preparing the meals in our skills kitchen. With seasonal menus changed frequently, full bar list and barista coffee the restaurant is not only a silver service training restaurant but a hire space for the Central Regional TAFE - Geraldton Campus.

The restaurant has been a finalist in the Gold Plate Awards which is a highly regarded and successful hospitality awards program Australia wide.

Heavy Vehicle Driving Operations Skill Set
