Advance your career in the automotive industry. When you complete Certificate II in Automotive Air Conditioning Technology you will have the skills and knowledge to work effectively in the automotive industry servicing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, retrofitting and modifying, diagnosing and repairing faults, whilst learning to work safely in the workplace.

This qualification offers a credit transfer or Recognition of Prior Learning  (RPL) for the vehicle servicing component within the Certificate II in Automotive Technology.

Please note: Central Regional TAFE offers this as a standalone course for apprentices completing AUR30616 Certificate III in Light Vehicle Technology or AUR30316 Certificate III in Automotive Electrical Technology and/or to existing tradespersons

Half-price

This course is half price for everyone (excl. school students) as part of the Lower Fees, Local Skills initiative. Fees are also capped at $1,200; or $400 if you're aged 15—24 or eligible for a concession. Find out more here.

Some things you'll learn:
  • How to test and repair basic electric circuits
  • How to diagnose, repair, retrofit and modify air conditioning and HVAC systems
  • How to carry out diagnostic procedures, as well as a range of other tasks.

This course is right for you if:

  • You love mechanical tasks
  • You enjoy troubleshooting and repairing 
  • You like doing physically active work
School Leaver Non-School Leaver AQF
OLNA or NAPLAN 9 Band 8 C Grades in Year 10 English and Maths or equivalent Certificate I or Certificate II

Please note: At our Geraldton Campus this is qualification is delivered as a short course over a 5-day duration and will be delivered at varying times throughout the year.
