Do you work in local government and need specialist administration skills to conduct internal audits and reviews of Council lessees, tenants, and service operators?
LGA40120 Certificate IV in Local Government (Regulatory Services) is the course for you! This nationally recognised qualification teaches you how to monitor areas under council jurisdiction, investigate breaches of legislation, prepare documentation and court evidence, then represent Council in legal proceedings. The course also covers community consultation, safety and general compliance.

RTO Entrance Requirements
Learners must participate in an interview with the lecturer (face to face or phone) prior to enrolment.
Learners must complete a Student Profile and Learning Needs Questionnaire provided by the lecturer prior to enrolment. This is designed to gather background information of the learner including specific preferences and needs they may have with the purpose of addressing them in training and assessment.
The specific needs and/or additional requirements identified by the individual learner are records on the Student Needs Summary Form with specific actions for addressing them and outcomes of the actions.
It is expected that learners would have as a minimum level, Year 10 English or equivalent to enable them to cope with the literacy and numeracy requirements of the course including fluency in English.

However, it should be noted that the list of administered legislation on the WA Department of Local Government, Sport & Cultural Industries will apply to the units in the qualification.
