Make the world a more beautiful place with a Diploma of Beauty Therapy!

If you are passionate about the beauty industry and would like to obtain the most comprehensive, internationally recognised qualification available, this course could be the perfect one for you!

You will learn to apply a full range of face and body treatments. You will learn skills in a broad range of beauty therapy treatments and services that include facials, specialised facials, body massage, waxing, lash and brow treatments, make-up, aromatherapy, spray tan, lash extensions and skills in retail and sales operations. You will also learn about reflexology, Indian head massage, hot stone massage and micro-dermabrasion.

Our Diploma of Beauty Therapy course will give you the skills to start up your own business and to work in the industry. You will also learn the tips of small business promotion to be successful in a very competitive market.

Entrance Requirements
School Leaver Non-School Leaver AQF
Completion of WACE General or ATAR (Minimum C Grades) or equivalent Completion of WACE General or ATAR or equivalent (minimum C Grades) Certificate III

 

Students will also need to complete the LLN Robot test to enable us to see the level of literacy and numeracy of the individual.  Students who are not able to meet the literacy and numeracy requirements of the course will be counselled into other suitable courses.

Students must participate in an interview with the lecturer (face to face or phone) prior to enrolment to give them an information regarding the course; how much commitment is required; what needs to be purchased before the course starts, and level of commitment for the course.

Students must be able to stand for long periods of time during the day and be able to massage and perform beauty treatments at least four clients per day to prepare the students for average industry client appointments.

All student must have well developed communication skills to enable them to work with clients on a personalised level.

VET Student Loans

This qualification is eligible for the Commonwealth Government's VET Student Loan scheme. Eligible students can opt to defer the payment of all or part of their tuition fees by applying for a VET Student Loan. VET Student Loans will not be approved for students who do not meet eligibility requirements. Approved loans become a personal debt with the Commonwealth (HELP debt) until it is repaid.

Delivery location, important dates and study options

Training at CRTAFE will be offered with a blended, flexible delivery model to enable social distancing measures during the COVID-19 pandemic. This approach may include a combination of online and classroom based delivery, as well as practical and work experience placements. While the mode of delivery may vary, the content and key learning outcomes of the course will remain the same. Lecturers will provide specific instructions to their student groups on how training will be undertaken and the support available to them.
