Starting your application
Once you have searched our course page(opens in a new tab) for an option that fits your career pathway, you're ready to kickstart your enrolment journey.
A few things you need to know before applying:
- We have two main student intakes per year - Semester 1 and Semester 2. In some instances, we have courses available for start in Term 2 and 4.
- Some courses rely on community interest prior to delivery, which will require an expression of interest and can be found at the end of a course page.
- Eligibility requirements can be found on each course page. These are set to ensure you have a successful study journey.
- Be prepared with all the required documents for your course so you have everything ready to apply - we have a pre-enrolment Online Registration Form(opens in a new tab) that can help you with this.

Search our course list and click on the course you want this will take you to the course page. We offer short courses and skill sets as well as Certificate, Diploma and Advanced Diploma qualifications. Tip: Select the filter options to narrow your search by location and how you want to study.

Check the entrance requirements and eligibility information on the course page. At the time of your application or soon after you will be asked for your eligibility documents (see example list below). Prepare these ahead of time and have them on hand to speed up the application and enrolment process.

Your application will be processed and an offer of enrolment (including a quote) will be sent to you. Once you accept an offer your enrolment is confirmed and your lecturer will be in touch with commencement details for your course including start date, timetables and other orientation information.

Applications for Semester 1, 2024 full time courses open on Friday 1 September 2023
You will need to apply for our full time courses ahead of time to ensure you are considered for a place in the course. Applications are made through TAFE Admissions Online (a system used by all TAFE's in WA to process student applications for popular courses). To apply for any of our TAFE Admissions courses, simply click here(opens in a new tab) to be directed to the TAFE Admissions application portal.
Self-paced and part-time courses
Applying through TAFE Admissions is not required, direct enrolment with us is accepted for these courses.
What if you miss the closing date?
Don't worry you can still express your interest in the course as there may still be vacancies. If it has started or the intake is full, our team will help you find another suitable study option.
Many courses are available via direct online application with us.
Click the link in the Apply now box next to your chosen location on the course page and you will directed to our online application portal.
Tip: On the course page, make note of the course National ID and State ID codes at the top of the page. You may need this inside the Direct Application Portal.
If you are applying via the portal for the first time, you will need to register for a student ID. If you've studied with us before enter your student ID.

When applying you will be asked a few simple questions regarding your education, experience, and training history.
To enrol in an apprenticeship or traineeship you need to have an employment contract. Your employer will register you with Australian Apprenticeship Support Network (ASSN) provider who will create a training plan for you and work with us throughout your studies.
To apply and enrol in at VETDSS course speak to your school's VET Coordinator. They will let you know what the application dates are and further assist with the application process.
Short courses and some skill set applications are submitted by completing a Course Enquiry Form at the bottom of the course page
The Apply now box next to your chosen location on the course page will direct you to this form.
Our local campus coordinator will contact you to finalise your enrolment. Course enquiries can also be submitted for other types of courses and are obligation free.
Alternatively you can visit one of our campus locations and our team will be happy to help.

Several of our courses take enrolment all year round. However there are some on campus full-time course which take enrolments by semester. Prepare your application and enrolment ahead of time by planning around our enrolment key dates.
You'll need to provide a range of documents depending on the entrance requirements for your course and to confirm if you are eligible for one of our fee payment options or student loans.
To make your application process easier, have the below ready to go:
- Proof of age (birth certificate, school student id card, learners permit or license photo ID or any other document that shows your full name and date of birth)
- Current concession card if you have one
- Citizenship certificate or residency information and evidence
- Previous academic records or certificates
- Your Unique Student Identifier (USI) - more information
