Handle chemicals safely
This course is delivered in partnership with AusChem WA and will assist you to manage risks associated with chemical use, to understand your obligations in the areas of duty of care, quality assurance and environmental management.
On a practical level you will learn how to improve your integrated pest management programs, to better choose chemicals for the job and accurate application. This training is essential for all agricultural stakeholders who use chemicals and is designed for people who will be spraying without supervision.
This course remains FEE FREE in 2024! The course fees are 100 per cent subsidised by the WA State Government for WA residents.

RTO Entry Requirements
Learners need basic LLN skills to be able to interpret labels and SDS’s. They must be able to work out rates, areas and volumes. They need to be able to interpret signage which may indicate Dangerous Goods or hazardous substances.
Simulated practical training will be carried out along with theory - based learning.
English second language students may require additional support such as an interpreter to complete the skill set.
Certification
Upon successful completion you will receive a Statement of Attainment as well as AusChem training accreditation.
