Espresso Machine Operation

In this short course you will learn and gain knowledge in the basics of espresso coffee, as well as coffee cultivation and processing, roasting and blending, different coffee styles, coffee bean storage, grinder setting, milk texturing, and how to operate and clean a commercial espresso machine.

Achievement of these units provides credit towards qualifications in the SIT Tourism, Travel and Hospitality Training Package.

    Certification

    Upon successful completion you will obtain a Statement of Attainment.

    Licensing, Legislation and Regulation Requirements

    • Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ) is a statutory authority in the Australian Government Health portfolio,
    • FSANZ develops food standards for Australia and New Zealand,
    • Work Health and Safety Act 2020,
    • The relevant Central Regional TAFE policies and procedures will also be applied to delivery and assessment of this qualification.

      • Secondary school aged persons (in 2023, students born on or after 1 July 2005 who are at least 15 years old in 2023) undertaking training that is not part of a VET Delivered to Secondary Schools program, the maximum course (tuition) fee chargeable is $420. Additional resource fees and discretionary fees may apply. 
      • VET Student Loans for eligible courses and fee caps may be subject to changes implemented by the Australian Government.
