This course is focused on honing specific skills relating to food preparation and cookery in a commercial kitchen environment under direct supervision. You'll learn food hygene practices, food preparation, basic cookery, stock and inventory skills and communication skills in our industry-standard commerical kitchen on campus.

To attain this qualification, you are required to successfully complete thirteen (13) units of competence, comprising seven (7) core and six (6) elective units selected from the options provided below.

- Secondary school aged persons (in 2024, students born on or after 1 July 2006 who are at least 15 years old in 2024) undertaking training that is not part of a VET Delivered to Secondary Schools program, the maximum course (tuition) fee chargeable is $420. Additional resource fees and discretionary fees may apply.
